Andrew’s passion for hairdressing saw him co create an exhibition called Beehives, Bobs and Blow-dries exploring the cultural significance of hair fashion and the impact hair styling has on society and popular culture as well as the historical and innovative aspects of the profession.
His passion for training and nurturing others is showcased in his award winning ABLE (Andrew Barton London) scholarship training programme delivered exclusively in further education colleges for trainee hairdressers. Andrew is a voice for British hairdressing holds roles as The Ambassador for England for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing and is the Honorary Ambassador for The Hair & barber Council.

Beyond his high media profile within hairdressing, Andrew is a patron of the British Association of Adoption & Fostering, the UK’s oldest children’s charity, the Hairdresser Ambassador for The Little Princesses Trust and a patron of his native Yorkshire.
